The Office of Student Navigation oversees the College’s early alert system, a notification system that allows professors and staff to refer students to College resources such as tutoring, personal counseling, and assistance for special populations. The goal of early alert activities is to maximize student success in individual courses, and ultimately, in graduating from the College.
TEAMS (TCSG Early Alert Management System) is a web-based tool that College personnel use toward that end. TEAMS allows professors to notify Student Navigation staff members when they consider a student to have become “at risk” for failing a course. In turn, the staff members work directly with the student to match them with College resources that will increase the student’s chance of success.
