  • Online Application CLICK HERE  Create an account and get started now! There is a non-refundable $25.00 application fee for new and transfer students, which must be paid online by either a check or credit card. Dual Enrollment students do not pay the application fee.

(When you apply online, you can check your application status by clicking the above link and logging back into your application using the same web ID and pin you created. Once logged in, just click on the application to see a check list of items needed.)

  • Paper Application The online application is the fastest way to apply and is preferred. If you cannot apply online you can  Download and Print the paper application. If you choose to fill out our paper application, you can mail your non-refundable payment of $25.00 along with your printed paper application, or you can take your printed application to your local campus and pay the fee at the Cashier’s Office in the Campus Shop. Dual Enrollment students do not pay the application fee.

You do not need to fill out more than 1 application per year. If you need to update your semester, contact admissions.

Required Documentation: All four of these documentation requirements must be met in order to register for classes:

  1. Proof of Lawful Presence
  2. Proof of Georgia Residency(to qualify for in-state tuition rate)
  3. Official High School /GED Transcripts
  4. Official College Transcripts if you want to receive transfer credit, exemption from testing, or financial aid.

**Due to Covid-19 we are accepting unofficial transcripts at this time.**

**Documents are only considered official if they are received electronically directly from the institution or in a sealed envelope from the institution.**

(All documents can be mailed to Attn: Admissions 5717 White Bluff Rd, Savannah, GA 31405. Official high school transcripts can be sent electronically to Admissions at  Admissions@savannahtech.edu and official college transcripts can be sent electronically to the Registrar’s office at registrar@savannahtech.edu)

DUE TO COVID-19 OUR TESTING POLICY HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY UPDATED.

The following applicants will not have to take a placement exam:

  • Applicants with a high school diploma and an overall/cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Applicants enrolling into a certificate or diploma program who have completed high school or earned a GED (no GPA minimum; transcript required)
  • Applicants who enroll in a program that does not require a high school diploma or GED completion (i.e.: Commercial Truck Driving, Nurse Aide)
  • If an applicant has one of the following, we request transcripts/score reports to be submitted to Admissions:
    • GED, PSAT, SAT, ACT, ASSET, ACCUPLACER, or COMPASS test results (refer to the program web page for specific scores)
    • Applicants who have completed an English and Math course with a grade of “C” or better from a previously attended post-secondary institution.

Students who cannot provide the items listed above will be required to take a placement exam or submit alternate test scores.

Online Orientation:

Due to Covid-19 our orientation sessions have been moved online. You can view the Online Orientation at the following link to learn more about Savannah Technical College and the enrollment process.

New and Returning Student Orientation

Re-Admits:      

  • If you stopped attending STC for one or more semesters, you must re-apply for admission, pay the non-refundable re-admit fee of $10.00, and provide official copies of college transcripts for any colleges you attended during the separation. You may also be required to provide lawful presence and Georgia residency documentation.
  • If you have not attended STC in the last five years, you will be required to submit a new complete set of admission documentation.
