8/07/24: The College will open all campuses and resume classes on Thursday, August 8.

08/05/24: Due to the expected impacts of Hurricane Debby, STC classes are canceled, and campuses will close at 3pm on Monday, August 5 and will remain canceled/closed on Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7. The College will maintain regular contact with CEMA to monitor storm impacts and will reassess impacts on Wednesday.

08/04/24: Savannah Technical College continues to monitor the track of Tropical Storm Debby in consultation with the Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) and information from the National Weather Service. The storm is projected to bring dangerous weather conditions to our area with historic levels of rain, which may lead to flooding throughout our community.

Due to the expected impacts of Tropical Storm Debby, STC classes will be canceled, and campuses will close at 3pm on Monday, August 5 and will remain canceled/closed on Tuesday, August 6.

While the College will be closed for in-person activities, certain staff, who are designated by their immediate supervisor, may be required to report to work during this closure.

The College will maintain regular contact with CEMA to monitor storm impacts and will reassess impacts on Tuesday.

08/03/24: Savannah Technical College is monitoring TD4 (future “Debby”) that could bring potential tropical storm conditions to our area on Monday. While the path and potential effects of the storm remain uncertain, the College remains in regular contact with Chatham Emergency Management Agency and is reviewing information from the National Weather Service.

Savannah Tech will continue to monitor this weather system and its projected path throughout the weekend. A determination regarding College operations on Monday will be provided on Sunday afternoon and will be communicated through all available communication channels including the College’s text/email notification system, website, and social media.
