First Responder Training

Peace officers, firefighters, and emergency services personnel like EMS/Paramedics are the first to respond to an emergency. To excel with these careers you need good people skills, compassion, physical strength, the ability to solve problems under pressure, and career training. Savannah Technical College offers specialized training for first responders:

• Basic Law Enforcement / Peace Officer Academy
• Criminal Justice Coming to the Savannah Campus starting Fall 2024
• Emergency Medical Services (EMT/AEMT/Paramedicine)
• Fire Science

Apply today to start training for a career as a first responder (no experience necessary).

Most of these programs (diploma/TCC) offer additional financial aid through the HOPE Career Grant for those that qualify.
