Academic Standing Policy

Good Academic Standing (AS)

Effective Fall 2014, the Academic Standing policy requires that you maintain a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0 (“C” or higher).

If you do not meet this minimum requirement you will be placed on Academic Warning status for one semester. If, after the one semester on warning, you do not meet the minimum requirement you will be suspended from the college.

If suspended, you have the right to appeal. You will be required to meet with your academic advisor to initiate the appeal process.

In addition to maintaining Good Academic Standing, all Federal and State financial aid recipients must also meet the financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements. Please note that the academic appeal and financial aid appeal are two separate processes.
