Chef Jean Vendeville Scholarship

The Chef Jean Vendeville Scholarship was initiated (2017) and funded solely by Judy & Dick Eckburg in honor of Savannah Technical College Department Head Chef Jean Vendeville. 

This scholarship is awarded to the highest GPA Culinary Arts/Baking & Pastry Arts student(s) with the most financial need enrolled in an associate degree program. The award has been $2,000 per student per year for two years for a total of $4,000 per student. Up to two students per year have received this scholarship. 

Savannah Technical College Foundation

Founded in 1984, the STC Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization that exists to raise and disburse funds to support the College’s efforts to enhance learning, workforce training and economic development in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties. In 2018, the STC Foundation helped the College purchase 7 West Bay Street as the new location for an expansion of the College’s Culinary Arts program.

STC scholarship funds are managed by the STC Foundation, a 501 (c)3 organization whose sole purpose is to raise private funds to support the mission of the College. Gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
