‘Three Colleges, One Cause’ Collaborates for College Showcase

#1410 | September 10, 2013

SAVANNAH – Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU), Savannah State University (SSU) and Savannah Technical College (STC) are collaborating to host “3 Colleges 1 Cause: Supporting Our Troops” from 5PM until 9PM, on Friday, September 20, at Forsyth Park.

The free event is open to the public and will include games, food vendors, military displays, music from a local band and DJ, along with a showcase of the three colleges highlighting various departments and student organizations.

A portion of vendor proceeds from the event will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project (WWP). Founded in 2003, WWP’s purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.

AASU, SSU and STC have been collaborating to support community activities since February 2013. The first two events included Blessings in a Book bag, a food drive for schoolchildren in need of food and a Spring Cleanout activity with proceeds going to Goodwill.
