Martin, Monroe complete TCSG Administrative Services Executive Academy

ATLANTA – Savannah Technical College Fiscal Analyst Cathy Martin and STC Director of Accounting Audrey Monroe were recently recognized for completing the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Administrative Services Executive Academy.

Martin and Monroe were presented with certificates of completion for demonstrating professional education and commitment to their profession by Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Ron Jackson, TCSG Assistant Commissioner Lisa Eason, and TCSG Deputy Commissioner Josephine Reed-Taylor at the Vice Presidents of Administrative Services meeting in Atlanta.

The TCSG Administrative Services Executive Academy was established in 2013 to provide college business officers training in four eight-hour sessions that encompasses all the areas involved in the Administrative Services departments of the Technical Colleges.  Training topics included financial accounting and budgeting management, Peoplesoft accounting software, human resources, various reports to state and national offices, insurance, business office functions, etc. Only 30 individuals were recognized for completing the Executive Academy in 2013.

“This is the very first time that our TCSG system has done this, and it is a very important internal training for our upper level accounting staffs,” said Assistant Commissioner Lisa Eason.  “We want to thank Janice W. Davis, Vice President at South Georgia Technical College, for leading the effort in coordinating this training,”

Savannah Technical College President Dr. Kathy Love also congratulated Monroe and Martin on their completion of the Administrative Services Executive Academy: “Cathy and Audrey assets to our College, and we are very fortunate to have them as part of our team.”
