Ferrara selected as Dean of Business and Technology

SAVANNAH – Savannah Technical College has selected Brendan Ferrara as its Dean of Business and Technology. Ferrara will lead coordination and supervision of the quality technical programs that include Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management, Marketing, Paralegal Studies, and Computer Information Systems. Prior to this position Ferrara was STC’s department head for the Logistics, Marketing Management and Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Programs.

Ferrara has a history of showing great dedication to the local community sitting on multiple boards including VisitSavannah, The Savannah Area Tourism Leadership Council and the Maritime Logistics Education Task Force Board. He also regularly consults with area businesses on product development and promotional strategies.

In 2010, Ferrara was awarded the Savannah Technical College Rick Perkin’s Instructor of the Year Award and the College Foundation’s Community Star Award. In 2009, he received the Savannah Area Tourism Leadership Council Member of the Year Award.

Ferrara received a bachelor’s of business administration in marketing and management from the University of Cincinnati, College of Business Administration and holds a master’s in business administration from Georgia Southern University.

Savannah Technical College’s Business & Technology Division offers programs that prepare students for careers in business and technology related fields including accounting,computer information systems and CISCO, marketing, paralegal studies and more.
