Cosmetology students earn 100% pass rate on State Board Exams for 2010

SAVANNAH – Savannah Technical College cosmetology students have a perfect pass rate on the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology exam for 2010. Fifty-two students took the two-part exam comprised ofpractical and theory portions. For the practicum/demonstration portion, students are evaluated in haircutting, chemical relaxing, basic facial, and sculptured nail. The theory portion, (110-question written exam) evaluates students’ knowledge of scientific concepts, hair care services, skin care services, and nail care services.

Savannah Technical College offers cosmetology programs, daytime and evenings in Savannah, Effingham and Liberty; on campus in Savannah and Effingham, and at Liberty High School (evenings only) in Hinesville.

Kimberly Cutter-Williams is the department head and lead instructor of Cosmetology.
