Military Benefits & Important Information
Savannah Technical College is a nationally accredited institution approved to participate in and administer Veterans Education programs. One in four students has a military affiliation, and we are committed to supporting military-connected students throughout their educational journey.
Military Scholarship Assistance
Savannah Technical College is committed to supporting military-affiliated students as they transition to civilian careers. Nearly one-quarter of our students have a military connection, and we offer additional financial support through institutional and partner-funded scholarships.

Active Duty
- College waives fees each semester
- STC Freedom Fund assists with book costs
Military Spouses (SpouseWorks)
- STC Freedom Fund may cover fees each semester and assist with tools
- Landings Military Family Relief Fund Scholarship may cover remaining tuition
VA Benefits Expired (No Funding)
- Students may apply for the STC Freedom Fund to assist with tuition
VA Benefits Less Than 100%
- STC Freedom Fund may be applied toward:
- Tuition
- Fees
- Books
- Required equipment
Funding amounts:
- Less than 15 credit hours: up to $300
- 15 or more credit hours: up to $500
Notes
- All private scholarship funds are applied directly to student accounts
- Funds may be used in the Campus Shop for approved expenses
- Funds are not issued directly to students
Military Freedom Fund
Savannah Technical College’s Military Freedom Fund provides financial assistance to military-affiliated students whose education benefits do not fully cover their expenses.

Student Veteran Organization
Savannah Technical College’s Student Veteran Organization provides a welcoming community for military members, veterans, and their spouses and dependents. Through connection, engagement, shared experiences, and access to valuable resources, the organization helps students build a strong support network and enhances their overall college experience.
The mission of the Student Veteran Organization is to:
- Foster and develop a social network for student veterans and their families
- Collaborate with other veteran organizations to enhance services and benefits
- Provide a sense of community, fellowship, and camaraderie
The organization aims to:
- Raise awareness of the organization
- Elect student leaders
- Build a strong network for military-affiliated students
- Participate in community outreach projects
- Host events such as a Veterans Day Appreciation Luncheon
- Create an engaging and supportive student experience
Transfer Students
Savannah Technical College is committed to helping students receive maximum credit for prior learning experiences. Credit may be awarded for previous academic work, training, and other qualifying experiences to support your progress toward completing a diploma or degree.
