Savannah Technical College Foundation scholarships help make education more affordable by connecting students with donors who believe in their potential. Whether you’re training for a new career, continuing your studies, or balancing work and family, there’s a scholarship that can help you reach your goals.
Applications open three times a year — July (Fall), November (Spring), and April (Summer). Deadlines vary.
How to Apply for Scholarships
1. Log in to AwardSpring using your Savannah Tech student email prefix and password to login. Example: If your email is [email protected], then use “jdoe123” as your username.
2. Complete one online application — you’ll automatically be matched with all scholarships you qualify for.
3. Prepare short essays and request letters of recommendation early.
4. Watch your STC email for award notifications before each semester begins.
Scholarship funds are applied directly toward tuition, fees, books, and approved supplies at the Campus Shop. Refund-eligible students and transient students are not eligible.
Explore Available Scholarships
Students automatically apply for all eligible scholarships with a completed application. Awards cover the academic year but may be reduced for spring and summer. Funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, and supplies and are not dispersed directly to students. Refund recipients are not eligible for funds.
Career Advancement Program Scholarship (CAP): Adult students returning to college to study in a new career field after life circumstances and responsibilities interrupted their original path to graduation. GPA 2.5. ($1,000 plus $500 for books)
Faculty & Staff Scholarship: Applicants must have completed at least 30 credit hours. GPA 2.7. ($1,000)
HERO Toolbox Scholarship: Covers required purchases of tools/equipment. Award will be 25% of the total required by the program, up to $100.
Opportunity Award Honoree Endowment Scholarship: Applicants must demonstrate financial need. GPA 2.5. ($800)
Porter Pierpont Rotary International Scholarship: Awarded to an Associate Degree student with a full year of study remaining. Applicants must demonstrate a significant commitment to community service. An interview is required. ($1,500)
Savannah AMBUCS Scholarship: Eligible students must be enrolled in a credit program, reside in Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, or Liberty counties, and have completed the FAFSA to determine financial aid eligibility. Applicants must have disclosed a condition requiring special accommodations, documented in their student records. Students must also demonstrate financial need and have a balance due at the time the scholarship is awarded. ($1,000 for gap funding)
Success Scholarship: Under-served minority applicants enrolled in Aviation, Welding, Logistics, Precision Manufacturing/Industrial Systems, or Nursing. Must have completed 15 credit hours in their program of study with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. (Up to $2,500)
Military Freedom Fund: Provides support for military-affiliated students including tuition, fees, books, and tools. Awards are based on need and eligibility as verified by Military Outreach Coordinator.
Landings Military Family Relief Fund/SpouseWorks Scholarship: Available to active duty spouses using SpouseWorks funds. Grant provided once SpouseWorks funds are no longer available to cover student’s tuition in their current program of study. Grants will be provided one semester at a time. Students should request the grant in the term prior to running out of SpouseWorks funds. Applications will be submitted to the Military Outreach Coordinator. Tuition only. 2.5 GPA (Up to $4,000/student)
Japan Holmes Scholarship: The Japan Holmes scholarship was created in memory of long-time STC Accounting Instructor Japan (Jay) Holmes, who passed away in 2020. The scholarship will provide $1,000 annually to an Accounting student, who has completed at least 15 hours of study with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. It will be awarded based solely on merit and does not take into account financial need. ($1,000)
Success Scholarship (Logistics): Under-served minority applicants must be enrolled in one of STC’s Logistics programs. Must have 15 credit hours completed in their program of study. GPA 3.0+ (Up to $2,500)
Don & Karen Stewart Family Scholarship: This scholarship supports a graduate of Herschel V. Jenkins High School with financial need who is studying a program in Aviation or Industrial Technology (Air Conditioning, Construction Management, Drafting, Electrical Technology, Historic Preservation or Welding & Joining Technology. Students are encouraged to apply prior to their first semester. Students will receive financial assistance in their first year of study to off-set costs of tuition, fees, books and tools/supplies (up to $3,000).
Success Scholarship (Aviation): Under-served minority applicants must be enrolled in one of STC’s aviation programs. Must have 15 credit hours completed in their program of study. GPA 3.0+ (Up to $2,500)
Chef Jean Vendeville Culinary Scholarship: Applicant must have completed at least one semester for Culinary Arts/Baking & Pastry Arts. Preference will be given to students receiving no other financial aid. 3.5 GPA ($2,000)
Figiel Family Culinary & Hospitality Scholarship: Applicant must be a Culinary Arts and/or Hospitality student who graduated from Groves High School, lives in Garden City, Chatham County, and has a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Patrick Williams Memorial Scholarship: First semester or continuing Culinary Arts or Hospitality student with demonstrated academic success. 3.0 ($1,000)
Stephen Michael Kennedy Scholarship: Provides tools and uniforms for a first-semester Culinary Arts student. Essay required: what drives me to be a chef and the impact I intend to make ($500).
Sugar Flower Scholarship: Established in 2026 by the wedding industry friends of renowned celebrity wedding cake designer and educator, Minette Rushing, to honor her legacy and impact in the global cake design world. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in the Baking and Pastry Arts program.
Georgia Automotive Dealers Association Scholarship: The student has completed 12 semester hours in the Automotive Technology associate degree or diploma programs and must be pursuing a career in the automotive industry. 3.0 GPA ($1,000).
Georgia Power Scholarship: Applicant must be enrolled in an electrical-related program of study (Air Conditioning/HVAC, Electrical Utility Technology, Electrical Construction, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Industrial Maintenance Systems). Must have 15 credit hours completed in their program of study. GPA 2.5+ (Up to $1,000)
Haas Precision Machining Scholarship: Supports students in the Precision Machining & Manufacturing Technology program with a 3.5 or higher GPA who have completed at least 24 credit hours. ($1,000)
Ralph A. Hargrove Design Technology Scholarship: Eligible students must be enrolled in industrial engineering: Electrical/Computer Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Systems, Precision Machining, or Drafting (Mechanical). Applicants must also have completed 15 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.8. ($1,250 awarded in spring and fall semesters).
Manufacturers Education Foundation Scholarship: Applicant must be a Georgia resident enrolled in Industrial Systems/Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Precision Manufacturing, or Machine Tool Technology. Must have 15 credit hours completed in their program of study. GPA 2.5+ (Up to $1,000)
Don & Karen Stewart Family Scholarship: This scholarship supports a graduate of Herschel V. Must have 15 credit hours completed in their program of study. GPA 3.0+ (Up to $2,500)
Commander Tom Wright Grant (Welding/Truck Driving): Applicant must be enrolled in welding with a high school diploma or equivalency. Commercial Truck Driving students are also eligible. Student must have demonstrated need for funds and be in good financial/academic standing (Up to $1,000).
Michael Max Sacks Memorial Scholarship: Provides award to a veteran student studying in one of the paramedicine programs ($1,000)
Dr. Irving Victor Scholarship: Eligible STC students must be enrolled in EMS or Paramedicine program with a 2.7 GPA. Students must have an intent to pursue emergency medicine as a career. ($750)
Success Scholarship (Nursing): Under-served minority applicants must be enrolled in STC’s Practical Nursing program. Must have 15 credit hours completed in their program of study. GPA 3.0+ (Up to $2,500)

Award: $1,000 - Opportunity Award Honoree Endowment Scholarship: Must demonstrate financial need.
2.5 GPA.
$800 - Porter Pierpont Rotary International Scholarship:
Associate Degree student with one year remaining.
Requires strong community service and interview.
Award: $1,500 - Savannah AMBUCS Scholarship:

- Walter & Charlotte Hixon Scholarship:
Supports veteran students receiving less than 100% VA funding
GPA: 2.5+ - Military Freedom Fund: Supports military-affiliated students
Covers tuition, fees, books, tools
Award based on need - Landings Military Family Relief Fund/MYCAA: Available to active duty spouses using MYCAA funds. For active duty spouses using MYCAA
Covers tuition after MYCAA runs out
