Testing Center

The Testing Center provides testing services by appointment for placement exams, GED testing, professional certifications, WorkKeys assessments, and proctored testing across Savannah Technical College campuses.

All students must present a valid photo ID at the time of testing.

Who Does NOT Need the ACCUPLACER Exam?

The following applicants may not be required to take the ACCUPLACER placement exam:

  • Applicants with a high school diploma and cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Applicants enrolling in certificate or diploma programs who completed high school or earned a GED
  • Applicants enrolling in programs that do not require a high school diploma or GED

Examples:

  • Commercial Truck Driving
  • Nurse Aide

Alternative Test Scores & Transcripts

Students may submit:

  • GED
  • PSAT
  • SAT
  • ACT
  • ASSET
  • ACCUPLACER
  • COMPASS scores

OR

Official transcripts showing completion of English and Math courses with a grade of “C” or better from a postsecondary institution.

Students unable to provide qualifying documentation must complete placement testing or submit alternate scores.

Georgia Work Ready / WorkKeys Assessments

Savannah Technical College is an authorized WorkKeys® Assessments provider.

WorkKeys® assessments help employers identify, hire, train, and retain a skilled workforce.

The core assessments include:

  • Reading for Information
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Locating Information

Students receive scores at the end of the testing session.

Testing Fees

  • 1 Test: $20
  • 2 Tests: $35
  • 3 Tests: $55

Fees subject to change.

Testing Information

  • Bring a valid driver’s license or photo ID
  • Allow approximately 3.5–4 hours for testing
  • Payments must be made at the Campus Bookstore
