Savannah Technical College will offer a new Automation and Robotics Technology degree to prepare graduates for a career as an advanced manufacturing maintenance repair technician and engineering technologist starting in Fall 2024.

Savannah Technical College will host a free information session on launching a childcare business on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 5-7pm. The course will take place in STC’s Eckburg Auditorium (5717 White Bluff Road, Savannah, GA 31405).

Savannah Technical College students won gold for Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA), silver for Barbering and bronze for Sheet Metal, Community Service, Promotional Bulletin Board and Mobile Electronics at the national SkillsUSA competition for 2024 in Atlanta, Ga.

Sixteen students from the Savannah Technical College Peace Officer Academy celebrated graduating from the program with a ceremony recently. These graduates have completed coursework containing the entire Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) Basic Law Enforcement Training Course. Their successful completion of the program qualifies them to be state-certified peace officers.

Savannah Technical College was awarded $470,000 from the Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce (GBHCW) for its Practical Nursing program. Starting in Fall 2024, the Nursing Schools Grant will provide wraparound supports to improve STC Practical Nursing students’ ability to persist and graduate with mental health counseling, emergency vehicle repair/transportation funds, books, supplies, uniforms, and loaner laptops

Effingham County School District (ECDS) and Savannah Technical College (STC) celebrated academic expansions in Effingham County today with a groundbreaking ceremony for the Effingham County School District Performing Arts Center and the Jack Hill Conference Center and ribbon-cuttings for STC’s Nursing/Science Lab expansion and STC’s Commercial Truck Driving training expansion its Effingham Campus. 

Savannah Technical College will send nine individuals and teams to compete in the national SkillsUSA leadership and skills competition June 24-28 in Atlanta, Ga. These competitors won gold at the SkillsUSA Georgia Competition in February.

Congratulations to the STC Students inducted into National Technical Honor Society. NTHS membership at Savannah Tech requires a 3.5 GPA, 12 earned credit hours, and a faculty nomination.

Savannah Culinary Institute students at Savannah Technical College have been selected to attend a study abroad program at South East Technological University based in Waterford, Ireland.

Savannah Technical College recognized 355 students for excellence in academics for the Spring 2024 Dean’s List. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have at least a 3.5 GPA and have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours (or full-time) for that semester. These students represent 28.5% of the full-time students for Spring 2024.
