Savannah Technical College’s Dan Krautheimer Recognized as SkillsUSA Georgia Postsecondary Advisor of the Year

Savannah Technical College (Savannah Tech), the premier provider of career-ready technical education and workforce development in Coastal Georgia, announces that Dan Krautheimer, Dean of Industrial Technology, has been named SkillsUSA Georgia Postsecondary Advisor of the Year. This award recognizes his exceptional commitment to advancing technical education and supporting student success. 

Krautheimer has dedicated over two decades to career and technical education, shaping the future of skilled professionals. As Dean of Industrial Technology at Savannah Tech, he plays a crucial role in enhancing workforce development and actively leads the college’s SkillsUSA efforts.

His extensive teaching experience includes 16 years as a Construction Management instructor, where he mentored numerous students who excelled in SkillsUSA competitions. His leadership has produced national competitors in carpentry and led multiple Occupational Health and Safety teams to national events.

Krautheimer’s expertise extends beyond the college, holding Georgia licenses in Residential Construction and Electrical, and earning the Statesman Award at both state and national levels. He also serves on the National Education Team and as Co-Technical Chair for the National Entrepreneurship competition.
