The Coastal Georgia Center for Driver’s Safety received a $25,000 contribution from Honda to address teen driver safety by providing greater access to distracted driver education and alcohol-impaired driving prevention.

Congratulations to these Practical Nursing (LPN) graduates - who all have job offers. Two start working on Monday. Jobs include sub-acute floor, plastic surgery practice, nursing home, orthopedic floor at St. Joseph's/Candler.

Fourteen Savannah Technical College Peace Officer Academy cadets celebrated graduating from the program with a completion ceremony on December 9, 2022.

Savannah Tech's Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) Club loves children! The club exceeded its goal and donated $1,011 to the City of Hinesville, GA Police Department's Shop with a Cop Christmas initiative. 100% of the funds help children to enjoy a great Christmas with a one-on-one shopping experience with a local police officer.

The Georgia Education Advancement Council (GEAC) honored Gail Eubanks with the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 50th annual conference. She has created opportunities for students in Georgia for three decades - promoting higher education excellence at three institutions: Savannah Technical College, Georgia Southern University, and Savannah State University. Eubanks is the second person to receive this honor from GEAC.

Savannah Technical College recently selected Letherio Zeigler as its financial aid director. He is responsible for directing financial assistance programs available to enrolled students including scholarships, grants, and work study programs. He has more than 25 years of experience with higher education financial aid with more than a decade in financial aid leadership roles.

Savannah Technical College and its Foundation received two awards when the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) gathered for its annual leadership conference in Savannah, October 24-26, 2022.

Savannah Technical College Foundation celebrated 23 community stars on Friday, October 28, 2022, when more than 200 people gathered for its Tribute to Community STARs event. The 16th annual event has recognized 300+ people for their service and dedication in the community or at work.

The Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety has renewed Savannah Technical College’s grant ($144,474.12) for a third year (FY23) to operate the Coastal Georgia Center for Driver Safety.
