Career Plus High School Diploma
Savannah Technical College Academy is an official, accredited, and virtual high school that offers the Career Plus High School Diploma (CPH) program. In CPH, students can earn an accredited high school diploma and earn high-demand workforce skills. We offer free, asynchronous, and online high school courses as well as a wide array of college programs.
Admission
Steps to join the CPH program:
- Complete the CPH Inquiry Form to be contacted to schedule Registration. At Registration, students will complete onboarding paperwork and complete the TABE placement tests.
- Pass the Reading and Math TABE Placement tests at Registration.
- Students can submit any accredited high school / home school transcripts for transfer credit.
- Transcripts are then evaluated for credit by the CPH Coordinator and STC Registrar.
- Students then meet with the CPH Coordinator to discuss a plan to complete the high school classes and college certificates. After the student confirms their plan and desire to join CPH, they are then directly admitted into the program.
Program Requirements:
- Must be 18+. Those between the ages of 18 and 21 must have no more than 5 high school credits earned.
- Must earn a 478M+ in the Reading TABE test, and 470M+ in the Math TABE test.
- Must be officially withdrawn from high school.
- Must be a Georgia resident for the past 12 consecutive months.
- Students must be officially withdrawn from high school.
To graduate from the Savannah Technical College Academy and earn the high school diploma, students must:
- Complete 9 high school credits (2.0 credits in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. 1.0 credit in Health/Physical Education).
- Complete two college certificates, a college diploma, or an associate’s degree.
- Both components are mandatory to complete to earn a high school diploma in the program.

Funding information: The high school portion of CPH is completely free. College is funded by the HOPE Grant, HOPE Career Grant, and Georgia Power Scholarship, allowing for little to no cost certificates.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the program take to complete? Time to complete depends on how many high school credits the student needs and which two college certificates the student chooses. On average, the program takes 3-4 semesters to complete.
Can I take college classes online or in the evenings? Each program has a different course schedule, but STC strives to provide flexible class availability in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, as well as providing online, in-person, and hybrid classes.
How is CPH’s accredited? The Savannah Technical College Academy is accredited by Cognia through the NCA CASI, NWAC and SACS CASI. Accreditation awarded April 2025. Valid through April 2031.
