GRADUATION PLANNING GUIDE FOR SPRING 2024 CEREMONY
June 18th * 6PM * Johnny Mercer Theatre (Savannah Civic Center)
Degree, Diploma, and GED graduates
CAP AND GOWN ORDERING
- If you received an email from Savannah Technical College (degree, diploma, GED graduates) indicating you were eligible to participate in graduation and plan on participating in the graduation ceremony, you must order your cap & gown online. We will be accepting orders online with the graduation participation form beginning April 10, 2024 and continuing through May 11, 2024. Announcements can be ordered through the Savannah Campus Shop.
If you are planning to participate in the commencement ceremony, there is a $40 graduation participation fee. These fees are non-refundable. Please allow 2-3 business days after completing the form to make payment. Graduation fee payments are to be made at the cashier at the Campus Shop no later than Thursday, May 30, 2024. Payment is due no later than the cap and gown pick-up date.
(Note: The commencement ceremony is for associate degree, diploma and GED recipients.)
CAP AND GOWN PICK-UP
Caps and gowns will be available for pick-up at the Student Affairs office on the Savannah campus beginning Tuesday, June 11, 2024 and continuing through Thursday, June 13, 2024. Cap and gown pick-up will be from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day and must be picked up by the participating student. (Gowns will not be available for pick-up at the Civic Center.)
GRADUATION REHEARSAL
Rehearsal will be held the morning of graduation, June 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in the Johnny Mercer Theatre, Savannah Civic Center. Please make sure you arrive on time. Graduation rehearsal is required for all participants. Make plans to be at rehearsal for at least two hours.
GRADUATION NIGHT – June 18th
Graduation will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. All graduates need to be at the Civic Center no later than 4:00 p.m. for line-up. Savannah Technical College has made arrangements with a professional photographer to be at the Civic Center the evening of graduation at 4:00 p.m. For your convenience, graduation photos will also be taken on stage during the ceremony.
TICKETS
To remain in compliance with the Savannah Civic Center regulations, STC must limit each graduating student to five (5) guests to attend the commencement ceremony. Any additional tickets available will be distributed to students at graduation practice On Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
Savannah Civic Center – Prohibited Items and Bag Policy
