Commencement Exercises for Associate Degree, Diploma, Certificate, STC Academy and High School Equivalency Graduates
SCHEDULE OF CEREMONY
Wednesday, May 27 • 6 p.m. | Enmarket Arena
Academic year 2025-2026, degree, diploma, certificate, CPH, and GED completers are allowed to participate in the 2026 Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Cap and Gown Pick-up
- When: May 19-21, 2026 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
- Where: Savannah Campus – Academic Commons, Room 7125
NO COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL
- Students are allowed to decorate their caps, provided the decorations are appropriate, as part of their participation in the commencement ceremony.
- No tickets are required to attend the commencement ceremony.
- Graduates should arrive no later than 4:00 p.m. for check in, lineup and any final instructions.
- Doors will open for guests one hour before the ceremony begins.
- The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately two (2) hours.
- Large bags, backpacks and purses are not permitted at Enmarket Arena. Clutches are permitted at 4.5″x6.5×2″ or smaller. All bags above this size MUST BE CLEAR and no larger than 14″x14″x6″ with a 2-pocket maximum. Clutches and clear bags are subject to search. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted, but subject to search.Employees, students, and guests are encouraged to leave personal belongings and wrapped gifts at home or locked securely in their vehicles.
- A professional photographer will take the graduate’s photo while on stage and again as they exit the stage.
- Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see parking map
Dress Code for the evening:
Men:
- White shirt
- Conservative tie
- Black or dark colored slacks
- Black or dark colored shoes
Women:
- Dark dress, skirt or slacks and blouse
- Black or dark colored shoes
- Clothing without a collar
- Your tassel should be worn on the RIGHT SIDE and when instructed, move it to the LEFT SIDE with your right hand.
- Give your personal items to a loved one. (Please do not carry anything in your hands except for your name cards).
- Graduates will line up based on their program of study starting with Degree, Diploma, Certificate, Career Plus High School and GED.
- When you enter, follow the Chief Marshall, Mrs. Stephanie Grant, STC’s Instructor of the Year. She will direct you to your seat and you should face forward looking at the stage area.
On stage:
- Smile….
- Your photo will be taken with Vice President Tremble as you receive your diploma cover. Continue across the stage, shake hands, and take a photo with President Foley and a final photo will be taken as you exit the stage.
- When you return to your row after leaving the stage, wait until everyone on your row has returned before sitting down. (Personnel will assist with this process).
- Degree, diploma and certificate students will receive their program insert(s) in the mail within six to eight weeks from Parchment. Please verify your email and mailing address in BANNER.
- Diplomas for GED completers will be issued by the State of Georgia.
