Forklift Operator Course is offered on the third Saturday

SAVANNAH – Savannah Technical College offers an eight-hour forklift operation course on the third Saturday of the month.

The class meets from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Industrial Technology Building at the main campus at 5717 White Bluff Road, Savannah, GA 31405.

Students will gain knowledge necessary to operate a forklift safely and to utilize a barcode scanner for effective receiving and/or shipment of a product in the workplace. Each class will consist of a mixture of lecture, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, dialogue between facilitator and students, hands‐on demonstration and video. Students will receive a certificate of completion authorizing that the student has met all of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to operate a forklift.

The cost for course is $135. Money order, or cashier’s checks made payable to Savannah Technical College will only be accepted at the Crossroads Campus (190 Crossroads Parkway, Savannah, GA 31407). Due to limited seating, payments will not be accepted the day of class but must be made in advance to secure seating.
