Integrated Kitchen Cook

Course Description

The Certified Kitchen Cook prepares student for entry-level kitchen staff positions and emphasizes safety and key job specific skills. The certification is supported by the START (Skills, Tasks, and Results Training) for Kitchen Cook. The Kitchen Cook training covers 18 key areas, including: Explaining how to use basic kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, Converting standard recipes based on portion size and number of portions, Handling special guest situations, including substitutions, and demonstrating basic kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines. Course will cover preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items and assess students on the completion of each skill learned during the course. Attendees learn customer service and prepare for the ServSafe Food Manager certification as well.

Course Description

The warehousing and logistics industry plays a central role in how we get the items we need and want from day to day. Our Fast Track course prepares you to join those who keep things moving.

This course will cover major areas of importance such as the Global Supply Chain, Logistics, Material Handling, Quality Control Principles, Workplace Communications, Safety, and Equipment Operation.

Upon successful completion of this courses’s certification exams, you will have earned two nationally recognized credentials – Certified Logistics Associate and Certified Logistics Technician from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council(MSSC).  The core competencies as defined by MSSC, covers nationally validated skills standards for higher skilled, frontline material handling workers across all supply chain facilities: factories, warehouses, distribution centers and transporters.

Forklift Operator Safety Training

Course Description

Students attending this course will gain the knowledge necessary for safe operation of a powered industrial truck; to fully understand the methods and procedures necessary to safely operate a powered industrial truck in the workplace.  Each class will consist of a mixture of lecture, PowerPoint presentations, related material handouts, dialogue between facilitator and students, hands-on demonstration, and video.

This training course is designed to ensure you have the knowledge necessary for the safe operation of a powered industrial truck. You will be provided the opportunity to operate a forklift as well as complete a small obstacle course. A stand-up powered forklift, in which loads are carried with forks, will be used during the training course.
