James Klein, Instructor of Economics at Savannah Technical College and noted international businessman in Asia, participated in the just concluded conference Thirty Years After the Taiwan Relations Act, held this week at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Klein (photo attached) presented in a round table panel discussion with three other scholars focusing on historical perspectives of the Taiwan Relations Act.
An instructor at STC since 2003, Klein is the former President of General Instrument-Asia, built a successful business career in East Asia that lasted more than two decades and is a three-time President of the American Chamber of Commerce on Taiwan. He has received numerous awards for his service including having received the Top Executive Award from the Republic of China in 1987 and again in 1991.
