October 1, 2007: Thirteen Students Receive STC Faculty & Staff Scholarship
The students will be recognized at the fall commencement ceremony to be held on October 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnny Mercer Theatre.

March 1, 2007: STC Foundation Community Council Honors Community STARS
The Savannah Technical College Community Council will host the first annual Tribute to Community STARs (Savannah Tech's Achievement Recognition) this spring, honoring some 30 individuals, nominated for their service and dedication at work or in the community.

January 29, 2007: Weyerhaeuser Foundation Supports Savannah Technical College
A group of Weyerhaeuser officials, led by Bob Grygotis, Vice President/Mill Manager at the Port Wentworth location, were on campus last week to present a check to College President C.B. Rathburn supporting the purchase of furniture and equipment at the college's Crossroads Technology Campus.

November 26, 2006: STC Foundation Gala to bring Community Leaders onto Campus
Nearly 300 community leaders and college supporters will be on hand in the college auditorium on Friday night as the Savannah Technical College Foundation hosts its third annual Opportunity Award Gala, honoring Judge Griffin Bell.

October 18, 2006: Savannah Technical College Awards Ten Faculty Staff Scholarships
Ten outstanding students were selected to receive the 2006 Faculty Staff Scholarship, funded through gifts from college employees.

September 7, 2006: STC Foundation Establishes Community Council
Savannah Technical College Foundation has established the Community Council, a group of 33 young professionals charged with expanding the local knowledge and profile of Savannah Technical College and its mission and with raising funds to support the college, its programs and students.

August 25, 2006: STC Foundation Board Welcomes New Members
Savannah Technical College Foundation proudly announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors -- Brynn Grant, director of marketing and public relations, Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA); Mark Hall, principal, North Point Real Estate; and, Sally Nielsen, partner in the Savannah office of Hunter Maclean Exley and Dunn P.C.

August 22, 2006: Former US Attorney General Griffin Bell to be Honored at STC Foundation Gala
Griffin Bell, senior partner in the Atlanta law firm of King and Spaulding and former United States Attorney General, will be the honored guest at the annual Opportunity Gala, to be held on the college's Savannah Campus December 1, 2006.
