In order to meet the needs of both our local employers and the growing student body, private funding continues to be an essential supplemental source where state funds are not adequate. Only about 65% of the funds to operate Savannah Technical College programs are provided directly by the state of Georgia. The remaining 35% must be secured through private donations, grants and other sources of outside funds. To meet this need, the STC Foundation's annual drive is getting underway, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Your unrestricted tax-deductible gift will help fund instructional equipment, student scholarships and the many other programming needs Savannah Technical College will face this year.

According to Hart Williford, foundation member and Executive Vice President of Memorial Health University Medical Center, "Memorial Health's commitment, support and partnership with Savannah Technical College are important cornerstones for the continued development of allied health practitioners for Chatham County and the surrounding area. The quality of education received and the well prepared graduates are necessary to continuously try to meet our healthcare staffing needs."

This is just one example of how Savannah Technical College is partnering with many, if not all, of the key economic players in our region. We hope you will show your support to Savannah Technical College and the 12,000 students we will serve this year.
