The Savannah Technical College Foundation members assist in raising funds to support the College's efforts to enhance learning, workforce training, and economic development in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties. The state of Georgia provides 65% of the operational budget for the college; however, for Savannah Technical College to meet its mission of excellence, private investment is essential. The foundation members work as advocates and assist with the development of public, corporate and individual partnerships necessary to cultivate private investment in the college.

The Savannah Technical College Foundation members are currently focusing their efforts on securing private dollars to support:

• Increasing student access
• Endowed scholarships
• Faculty development and training
• Start-up funds for new programs
• Endowed faculty chairs
• Renovation of library facilities to support a learning enrichment center
• Renovation of the auditorium to become a multi-purpose learning center for the community
