Welcome to the Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management Program of Study 



The Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management program prepares students for employment in the hospitality industry. Upon completion of two internships with local employers, students receive a Diploma with a specialization in Food and Beverage Management or Hotel Management. Graduates are qualified for a variety of careers in the hospitality industry such as front desk managers, hotel sales workers, food and beverage managers, and tour guides


Occupational Trends: 2010 Occupational Jobs 65,586 and 2018 Occupational Jobs 75,469 (+15%).

Job/Career Description:  A program that prepares individuals to provide marketing services in the hospitality and leisure fields.  Includes instruction in hospitality operations, customer sales and assistance operations and techniques, telephone operations, basic office management, retail sports, recreation equipment, food and beverage.


Employment Trends:  Tour guides/escorts FY10 1,016 jobs - FY18 1,175 jobs;  Managers FY10 48,848 jobs - FY18 55,469 jobs; Lodging managers FY10 3,663 jobs - FY18 4,464 jobs. and Food service managers FY10 12,059 jobs - FY18 14,361 jobs.
