HINESVILLE – It might look like child’s play to adults, but for kids, it’s serious business – the business of learning. Whether it’s playing with blocks, splashing around with toys in a water-filled tray or molding shapes in sand, kids are learning important skills as they play. It is the importance of learning that serves as the theme for the fourth annual
CELEBRATION OF THE YOUNG CHILD event to be held on
Saturday, April 17 from 10 am – 2 pm at the Liberty Campus of Savannah Technical College on Airport Road in Hinesville.
“We’re excited about this year’s event,” says Gia Smith, instructor of Early Childhood Care and Education at the Liberty Campus. “It’s a great opportunity for the children to learn and play in a safe environment and for families to be out together having fun and supporting their kids.”
The event is
FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. It will include free food, prize giveaways and more. It will be held outdoors on the campus and will feature information and exhibits from a number of community partners and service organizations. Kid’s activities include music, a dunking booth, face painting and more.
Sponsors for the event include Hinesville Day Spa, NeSmith Chevrolet, Publix, VIP Office Supplies, Coca-cola, Applebee’s and the Heritage Bank among others.
If your organization would like to sponsor or set up a booth at the event, please contact Gia Smith
