Commercial Truck Driving 3rd Party Road Testing

To find out when the next available CDL road testing appointment is, or to schedule an appointment please call the Effingham Student Affairs office at 912-754-2882.

A testing fee of $50 will be charged for an appointment, and a $150 Equipment Rental fee will be charged to those wishing to borrow an STC vehicle for the test.
You must pay the Cashier in person or over the phone at the Savannah, Effingham, or Liberty Campuses . Remember to keep your receipt! you will need your receipt number to schedule, reschedule or cancel an appointment!

CDL Road Testing Rules and Guidelines

1. All testers must possess a Class A or Class B CDL learners's permit and a valid Class C driver's license.
2. All testers must posses a valid medical card (DOT Physical).
3. If the tester is not renting an STC truck, they must possess proof of valid insurance for the vehicle and posses clear GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) info for the vehicle.
4. No-Show Policy-- All testers are to be at the testing site 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment or their funds will be lost. There will be NO free reschedule for the testing fee. However, the rental fee can be carried over.
5. Cancellation Policy-- All testers must cancel by calling 912-754-2880 to speak with a Student Affairs staff member a minimum of 72 hours prior to the scheduled test time/date for the fees to be transferred to the new time/date or the testing fee (excluding the rental fee) will be forfeited.
6. Late Arrival Policy-- All testers must arrive at least 15 minutes early or they will be regarded as a no-show and their testing fee will be forfeited (excluding the rental fee).
7. Refund Policy-- if the tester is cancelling at least 3 days prior (72 hours) to scheduled appointment and does not want to reschedule, tester must contact the Campus Shop with their receipt number. If tester is not cancelling at least 3 days prior (72 hours) to scheduled appointment, testing fee will be forfeited (excluding the rental fee)
