The Academy opened its doors in January, 2009, and, at the end of 2011, had graduated 9 classes. Our graduates have gone on to careers with law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Georgia. Our placement rate is nearly 98%.

 

Class sizes are limited to 25. As applications are completed and accepted by P.O.S.T. a list will be started and the first 25 will comprise the class.

Complete the Savannah Technical College Admissions Application ($20 fee)

Complete the 2012/13 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), www.fafsa.ed.gov ( STC School Code# 005618) to be eligible for HOPE grant funding (Must be a GA resident for two consecutive years). You may be eligible for Pell Grant funding based on your income. Veterans may be eligible for benefits. See the VA Representative at the main campus in Student Services. 

Complete the P.O.S.T. application process (pick up application packet at Peace Officer Academy Office)

Application processing fees (approximately $500) and required uniform and equipment purchases (approximately $300-$500) are the responsibility of the student. FINANCIAL AID DOES NOT COVER THESE COSTS.
