Step 3: Pay for your courses by published deadlines
Currently, the only VA benefits that are designed to pay the tuition and fee charges directly to the school are the Post 9/11 (chapter 33) or Vocational Rehabilitation (chapter 31).
All other benefits require that you pay tuition and fees either out of pocket or through other federal or state financial aid funding.
If you are utilizing additional financial aid benefits, please contact a financial representative to finalize your award. In some cases, additional information may be required in order to apply funds to your account.
We recommend that students visit with the business office to confirm that all institutional charges have been paid by the scheduled deadlines or after any adjustments have been made to the term schedule.
If you are a current student continuing to receive veteran benefits follow these steps:
Step 1: Provide the SCO a copy of your schedule
Savannah Technical College requires, for each term that you are enrolled, that you notify the School Certifying Official (SCO) of the classes for which you are registered. To ensure payment is received in a timely manner, we recommend that you participate in early registration and contact the VA certifying official.
This is to assure that you are registering for the appropriate classes, within your program of study, that follow the guidelines of VA regulations.
