The Technical Certificate of Credit is a specialized program of training and instruction in theory, methods, and practices for infant and toddler teachers and family child care providers. Competencies for the courses are aligned with the Child Development Associate (CDA) standards from the Council for Professional Recognition and serve as a bridge to the Early childhood Care and Education Diploma and Associate Degree options.
Prospective students must:
- Be 18 years of Age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Meet minimum program admission requirements on the Asset or Compass placement tests or take developmental courses.
- Pass a security check either through the Early Childhood Department at Savannah Technical College or through the Department of Human Resources (Day Care Licensing Division).
