The purpose of the Phlebotomy Technician Technical Certificate of Credit is to provide educational opportunities to individuals that will enable them to obtain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to succeed in a medical environment.

The Phlebotomy Technician program can be a two-quarter program. This program is intended to produce graduates who are prepared to function as professionals in medical laboratories and related environments. Program graduates will be competent in the general areas of anatomy and physiology and medical teminology. In addition, graduates will be competent to work in the major medical laboratory areas of phlebotomy.

Admissions Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must achieve regular admission status with the college.
  • Must be current on immunizations before clinical rotations begin.
