INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES (Transfer Students)

1. Meet Savannah Technical College admissions requirements by submitting the following:

· Application with a $15.00 non-refundable fee (cash, check, money order, credit – USD only).

 

· Official high school transcript. - You must also provide an official translation if the transcript is not in English. If an official high school transcript cannot be sent directly to Savannah Tech, you must contact the admissions department to discuss your options.

 

· Official transcripts from all colleges attended. You must also provide an official translation if the transcripts are not in English.

 

· Official SAT, ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS scores if available. If no scores are available and no classes can be accepted from previous universities, you must take the placement exam when you arrive. *Does not apply to students seeking admission to the ESL program.*

 
2. Meet international student requirements by submitting the following:

 

· ORIGINAL bank statement or letter from a bank official. More than one account and/or sponsor can be used. (See SEVIS Financial Documentation Requirements sheet for details)

 

· ORIGINAL letter of support with signature if someone else will support you financially. If using more than one sponsor, a letter from each sponsor must be submitted. (See SEVIS Financial Documentation Requirements sheet for details)

 

· Copy of the student’s current passport.

 

· Copy of the student’s current I-20 and I-94 card

 

· Contact name, phone, fax, and email for current school

 
3. After meeting admissions and international requirements:

· Notify your current school of your intent to transfer. We will be providing them with a transfer request and acceptance letter with the contact information you provide on your application. Please fulfill all academic, financial, and other obligations to the school before transferring to Savannah.

 

· Contact the International Office at Savannah Technical College as soon as you arrive in Savannah for registration and other important information. You may email jtuttle@savannahtech.edu, call 912-443-5706, or come by the office Monday–Thursday from 7:30am-5:30pm or Friday 8:00am-12:00pm.
