INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES
(New Students)
Print Checklist
1. Meet Savannah Technical College admissions requirements by submitting the following:

Application with a $15.00 non-refundable fee (cash, check, money order, credit – USD only).
· Official high school transcript. - You must also provide an official translation if the transcript is not in English. If an official high school transcript cannot be sent directly to Savannah Tech, you must contact the admissions department to discuss your options.
· Official transcripts from all colleges attended. You must also provide an official translation if the transcripts are not in English.
· Official SAT, ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS scores if available. If no scores are available and no classes can be accepted from previous universities, you must take the placement exam when you arrive. *Does not apply to students seeking admission to the ESL program.*
2. Meet international student requirements by submitting the following:

ORIGINAL bank statement or letter from a bank official. More than one account and/or sponsor can be used. (See SEVIS Financial Documentation Requirements sheet for details)

ORIGINAL letter of support with signature if someone else will support you financially. If using more than one sponsor, a letter from each sponsor must be submitted. (See SEVIS Financial Documentation Requirements sheet for details)
· Copy of the student’s current passport.
3. After meeting admissions and international requirements:
· After the applicant has been issued an I-20, he or she must pay a $200.00 SEVIS fee before going to the embassy. The website for payment is
www.fmjfee.com (instructions included in acceptance packet). Please print the receipt and take it with you to the embassy.
· Email the international office of the visa decision – approved, denied, or pending – at jtuttle@savannahtech.edu immediately. If you are approved, arrival procedures will be sent to you by email. You should finalize living arrangements and report to the school before the start date on the I-20. You may arrive up to 30 days before your start date. It is suggested that you use the arrival date(s) that Savannah Technical College provides in your travel procedures information, however this is not mandatory.
