INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES (Change of Status)
1. Meet Savannah Technical College admissions requirements by submitting the following:
· Official high school transcript. - You must also provide an official translation if the transcript is not in English. If an official high school transcript cannot be sent directly to Savannah Tech, you must contact the admissions department to discuss your options.
· Official transcripts from all colleges attended. You must also provide an official translation if the transcripts are not in English.
· Official SAT, ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS scores if available. If no scores are available and no classes can be accepted from previous universities, you must take the placement exam when you arrive. *Does not apply to students seeking admission to the ESL program.*
· ORIGINAL bank statement or letter from a bank official. More than one account and/or sponsor can be used. (See SEVIS Financial Documentation Requirements sheet for details)
· ORIGINAL letter of support with signature if someone else will support you financially. If using more than one sponsor, a letter from each sponsor must be submitted. (See SEVIS Financial Documentation Requirements sheet for details)
· Copy of the student’s current passport.
· Copy of the student’s current DS-2019 (J1/J2 only), visa, and I-94 card.
· Complete a Change of Status application ($300 non-refundable fee)
· Meet with the International Office before mailing the application (unless under legal counsel). Notify the International Office of any changes in your situation or any correspondence with USCIS while waiting for the decision on your application.
