Forklift Safety Training

This training course is designed to ensure you have the knowledge necessary for the safe operation of a powered industrial truck. You will be provided the opportunity to operate a forklift as well as complete a small obstacle course. A stand-up powered forklift, in which loads are carried with forks, will be used during the training course.

Our new and improved Forklift course is currently offered in a hybrid format. This means that the course takes place in two parts, online and in-person.

Part one is the online, self-paced course training.

Access information is sent out on Mondays and Thursdays.

Students will receive access to visually appealing, easy to use, and interactive eLearning modules capable of playback on nearly any device, from smartphones to tablets and laptops.

At the completion of the online course you will take an exam. Upon successful completion of the coursework and the exam, you will be able to schedule your hands-on forklift training. Students can expect to complete the online training in 2-4 hours.

Part two is the hands-on forklift training. The forklift training is scheduled by appointment and takes place one-on-one and in-person at the Savannah Tech Main Campus, located off of White Bluff Road.  Students will each receive 1 hour of training one-on-one with the instructor. Students who successfully complete both parts of the course receive a certificate of completion.
