Special Populations Program
What is the Special Populations Program?
The mission of Savannah Technical College's Special Populations Program is to assist all students who are members of defined population groups with removing and/or overcoming academic, career, and economic barriers. The program assures Special Population Students equal access to recruitment, enrollment, job placement activities and the full range of technical education programs and activities.
Who is a Special Populations Student?
- Single Parents including single pregnant women
- Displaced Homemakers (separation or divorced from spouse or widowed)
- Students with Disabilities (see Disabilities Services for more information)
- Students with limited English proficiency (English is not the native language)
- Students preparing for a non-traditional career field (examples: male nurses or female automotive technology students)

Complete this form, the New Student Disclosure Form during Online Orientation and e-mail it to Teresa Adams, Counselor and Special Populations Coordinator at tadams@savannahtech.edu. You may also stop by office A-133, or call 912.443.5717.
