The Electrical Construction and Maintenance Department at the Savannah campus was the first in the state to bring Alternative Energy to the forefront of technical education. The Electrical Construction and Maintenance programs provide instruction in the inspection, maintenance, installation and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial and sustainable energy environments. A combination of theory and practical application is emphasized to develop academic, technical and professional knowledge and skills.

The U.S. Department of Labor notes the need for more than just wiring specialists. Those with the ability to incorporate sustainable technologies will increase workforce opportunities and demand.
